Upcoming Events & News

Annual Meeting & Potluck: St. Paul’s annual meeting will take place on January 30th at a Potluck Brunch between the 8:00 and 10:30 services. The election of three vestry members will take place at that time to replace our three outgoing members: Lee Conditt, Carol Crosby, and David Taverner.

Vestry Nominations: The vestry is seeking names of individuals willing to seek election to the vestry. Nominees must be confirmed, active, and they must pledge.  Nominations must be received by January 18th to be included on our ballot. Information about each candidate will be distributed by email and in church, and the election will take place on January 30th at our annual meeting. If you would like to be considered or would like to nominate someone, please submit names to Fred Krug or Fr. Jim.

Annual Reports: In preparation for our annual report, ministry leaders are asked to prepare a written report and submit it to our church secretary, Katie Janke, or Fr. Jim by January 17th. All reports will be compiled and distributed at church on January 23rd

Diocesan Convention 2022: The Arkansas Diocesan Convention will take place Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Little Rock. St. Paul’s needs two delegates and two alternates to represent our parish and attend. If you are willing and interested, please let Fr. Jim or a member of the vestry know. The vestry will appoint delegates and alternates at its meeting on January 20th

2022 Liturgical Calendars: The new calendars are in! You may pick one up in the Narthex or in the office.

COVID Precautions and the Omicron Variance: Bishop Benfield has strongly urged all congregations to mask through the whole service, including while singing. This variant is quickly becoming the predominate variant infecting people in our communities, including those of us who have been vaccinated. Vaccination does provide protection against severe illness but we need to do our part in protecting those around us by reducing the potential of its spread.

Giving to St. Paul’s: For those attending online, there are three ways to give: you may mail your gifts to St. Paul’s at PO Box 2255, Batesville, AR. 72503, or make an online contribution by going to our website (stpaulsbatesville.org) and by following the link to make a contribution. You may also set up automatic payments through your bank’s Bill Pay service.
