Upcoming Events & News

Stewardship 2023: If you have not been invited to a dinner it is because there are several more to schedule. Meanwhile, we mailed pledge cards out last month and have received 27 back for a total of $107,540 in pledges compared to last year’s 66 pledges for a total of $222,877. We have a long way to go. Please place your pledge in the offering plate or mail it in as soon as you can. If you have not received a pledge card (or misplaced yours) there are more in the Narthex and in our office.

Holy Smokers Turkey Sale: The Churchmen’s Club is again selling smoked turkeys in time for Thanksgiving.  The cost is $35.00 each. Tickets are available for purchase in the office, from a member of the Churchman’s Club or online. If purchasing online please choose Men’s Group for the fund and put ‘Turkey Sale’ in the memo line. Turkeys will be available for pick up at the church on Saturday, November 19th from 8:00 am to 10:30 am at the College Street Driveway to the Rectory.

Sylvia’s Angels: In honor and memory of Sylvia Crosby, Independence Regional Museum invites any church members, family members and members of the community who knew Sylvia to make angels on November 17th from 10am-1pm. Sylvia made Christmas Angels for the museum for many years. Lunch will be provided.

Christmas Parade: Main Street is set to have their Christmas parade on December 10th. If anyone would like to volunteer to be part of building the float and/or walk alongside the float and hand out candy please contact the Bittles or the Mundys. We will also have singers on the float and if you wish to be part of that, please contact Kristian Ameigh.

Adult Bible Study: We are offering a Bible Study on Sunday mornings in the Parish Hall beginning at 9:30. No preparation is required; we are reading and discussing the Sunday Lectionary readings (which you can find on the St. Paul’s Website).

Giving to St. Paul’s: For those attending online, there are three ways to give: you may mail your gifts to St. Paul’s at PO Box 2255, Batesville, AR. 72503, or make an online contribution by going to our website (stpaulsbatesville.org) and following the link to make a contribution.
