Upcoming Events & News

Discretionary Fund: This Sunday the loose plate offering (gifts not designated for pledges, building, etc.) will be deposited into the Rector’s Discretionary Fund.   


Forward Day by Day: The November, December, and January issue of Forward Day by Day has arrived and will be available for you to pick up this Sunday in the Narthex and in the office during the week. We will also mail you a copy if you wish – please call or email Katie if you would like her to mail one to you.


Upcoming Office Hours’ Notice: The office will be open on Monday, October 13th (Columbus Day & Indigenous Peoples Day) and Wednesday, October 15th. The office will be closed Friday, October 17th.


Episcopal Church Women Fall Gathering: ECW Fall Gathering will take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Newport on October 10th-11th. The theme is “Let Go- ‘Cultivating and Letting Go’”. The featured speaker this year is Lisa Bortner, National ECW President. Register online at arecw.org at the Event Tab. Cost is $35 by October 1st and after October 1st, $40. No refunds after October 5th; for more questions contact Treasurer Susan Moore at 501-691-9342.


Fun & Safe Halloween on Main Street: Spooky season is almost here! If you would like to contribute candy to be given out on Halloween, you can drop it off at the church office or it can be given to Brenda Bittle. Volunteers are needed and appreciated to also help hand out candy! 👻


St. Paul's Fall Work Day: Taking place on Saturday, October 25th from 9:00 am to about 1:00 pm volunteers are needed to help with several maintenance and cleaning jobs around our church buildings, both inside and outside. Most of the jobs are simple, but need lots of hands to complete. If you can help, please join us. Supplies will be provided, but please bring tools (pruners, loppers, rakes, etc.) and gloves if you plan to help on the grounds. You will also be treated to donuts in the morning, and pizza & drinks at noon. This is a great opportunity to be of service to our church community. 


Adult Sunday School: Adult Sunday School is reading Adam Hamilton book, The Call, and we will continue meeting at 9:15 each Sunday morning in the Parish Hall. Come see what it's all about!!


Altar Flowers: The next upcoming available dates for flowers are November 9th & 23rd and December 14th.  Call or text Jo Cargill-Krug to reserve a date at (870-613-6981).


Children’s Sunday School: Children's Sunday School will have a Year of Service this year. For anyone who is homebound and needs help or assistance with small tasks, please reach out to the church office. Children's Sunday School also plans on helping with the Care Team as well.

  • Nursing Home Visit: Sunday, October 5th at Mountain Meadows after Coffee Hour
  • Children’s Sunday School: Sunday, October 5th & 19th at 9:30 am
  • Pub Theology: Thursday, October 9th at US Pizza at 6:00 pm
  • Care Team Meeting: Sunday, October 12th after Coffee Hour, around noon
  • Coffee Hour: After the service, everyone is invited to the Parish House (two lefts at the bottom of the steps) for refreshments and fellowship
  • Mahjongg Lessons: Every Sunday at 2:00 pm in the Parish Hall
  • Adult Sunday School: Sundays, 9:15 am in the Parish Hall


Blessing Box/Nursing Home Items: We are collecting personal care items for nursing homes as well as items for the blessing box! Ideas for the nursing home- lotion, Kleenex (travel size), warm fuzzy socks, small throw blankets, wipes, etc. Ideas about what to donate for the Blessing Box? Rice Krispie treats, pop tarts, ramen noodles, fruit snacks, granola bars or chips work! Thank you! 😊
