Upcoming Events & News

COVID Update: Due to an increase of members with COVID, we strongly encourage wearing masks during services. Communion will be served in front of the steps again to allow for social distancing. Thank you.

Birth Announcement: Edmund & Danell Hetrick welcomed baby Collin James last Thursday, 8/4/22. Both mom & baby are healthy and doing well!

Sunday’s Celebrant: This Sunday, Fr. Gene Crawford will lead our worship. Fr. Jim is on vacation visiting family. He will return on Tuesday, August 16th.

Window Update: The contractor who is replacing the protective covering for the stained-glass window above the Narthex has the frame in their shop, the glass has been cut and it has been tempered. Work is expected to start this Monday!

Pub Theology: When Pub Theology resumed, we decided to a reserve private dining room so we can have group discussions. At our first gathering, so many people attended we could not have group discussions because of how the tables were arranged. At last month’s gathering, we were able to arrange the tables for group discussion but waited too late to attempt our discussion. So, this month, we will have our discussion immediately after we place our orders. Though it was difficult to hold a discussion, we have enjoyed the fellowship. Our next gathering will be on Tuesday, August 23rd at US Pizza.

Bell Tower Update: The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program has awarded St. Paul’s additional money to repair the masonry work inside the bell tower and replace the louvered windows by the bell. We confirmed with the contractor that he will honor the original price in his bid and we are in the process of getting the contract signed. We expect the work to be completed before the middle of December.

Giving to St. Paul’s: For those attending online, there are three ways to give: you may mail your gifts to St. Paul’s at PO Box 2255, Batesville, AR. 72503, or make an online contribution by going to our website (stpaulsbatesville.org) and following the link to make a contribution.
