Stewardship Campaign Update

As this year's Stewardship Campaign winds down we can report that 34 households have pledged $75,180. Thank you to all those who have made their pledge and submitted their pledge card. Of course, even with the generous diocesan grants the amount pledged falls short of what is needed not only to maintain St. Paul's, but to grow the ministries and services we all want, e.g. a choir director, a parish administrator, badly needed maintenance on our buildings. If you have not yet made your pledge, please do so as soon as you can. All contributions make a difference and will enable the Bishop's Committee to plan responsibly for the coming year and beyond. You can make your pledge either by filling in a pledge card which you can find in the narthex, or by filling one in online here. Many thanks to all those who have already returned their pledge cards. Your pledge is crucial to the maintenance and continued flourishing of our parish life. If you have any questions about the campaign, contact see Martin Brown, our Bishop's Warden.  Below you will find a wonderful presentation prepared by our treasurer, Cindy Smith detailing the ins and outs of stewardship and finances at St. Paul's.

Christian Formation in Advent

Advent begins on Sunday, November 27. This year there will be offered two formation opportunities. On Sundays at 9am Fr. Luis will be leading Looking at Matthew, an introduction and overview of the Gospel of Matthew. On Tuesday evenings at the 6.30pm Eucharist Fr. Luis will be making a series of addresses touching on central themes of the Anglican/Episcopal tradition. The first of these will be November 27th. Remember, Advent is the Church’s season in which we prepare for Christ’s coming among us. Take time this year for reflection and preparation.

Bishop's Visitation on

December 4

On Sunday, December 4, , our Bishop, David Rice, will be making one of his regular visitations at the 10am Eucharist. Please make a special effort to be here that to welcome him. This will be a good time to meet our Bishop (if you have not met hime) and to share in worship and fellowship with him.

Christmas Preparations

While it's not yet even Advent, Christmas will be up on soon and so we must make preparations. The altar guild is seeking donations for the Christmas season greening of the Church and Poinsettias. Please mark your donation Christmas Flowers. Thanks in advance for helping us to create a festive worship space. If you have any questions, please speak to Jan Dunlap.

Monthly Prayer Diary

The Prayer Diary is a monthly publication of St. Paul's that can serve as a focus for your daily prayer. Each day lists the special commemoration of the day (if any), but also the intentions of the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, those of our Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, and that of our parish. You can always download a digital copy of the current one in the "In Our Prayers" section of Midweek below, or you can get one from the back of church.

In Our Prayers...

Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

In Our Prayers
