Principal's Message:

Dear St. Peter Family,

October is one of our busiest months at St. Peter with exciting events and wonderful causes that we like to support. As you know, last Friday we launched our SOCKtober campaign for the St. Vincent DePaul shelter and we are off to a great start! On Fridays in October students can wear crazy socks to celebrate our sock drive. Father Kyle was very excited about this...apparently he has a collection of great socks! Coming soon we will raise funds for breast cancer and introduce St. Peter's Buddy Bench. October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and we have some young ladies who have been diligently working to make a difference at St. Peter. I am very excited about the weeks ahead and I am so proud of our students. They are willing to give out of compassion and they are taking initiative to solve problems that will make our school a better place. What an honor it is to be a principal here!

Don't forget about our Great Pumpkin Glow this Saturday after 5:30 Mass. Come on out for food, fun, a movie, and of course, jack-o-lanterns! We hope to see everyone there!

St. Peter, friend of Jesus, PRAY FOR US!

Mrs. Kadel

Attention Parents!

As we head into October, we respectfully ask our parents to drop students off at the door and allow the children to walk themselves to their classrooms. If you need to speak with your child's teacher, please email them first and they will schedule a time where they can talk and give you their full attention. Thank you for your cooperation!

St. Peter's 1st Annual Pumpkin Glow!

Saturday, Oct. 9th

The PTO will be joining in the festivities of the Pumpkin Glow. There will be music playing while the pumpkins are being lit/judged, along with glow stuff for the kids to dance and have fun with and hot dogs and refreshments! Once the pumpkin judging is finished, you are welcome to join your friends and family on the soccer field for a movie (Hocus Pocus) to begin around 7pm. We will have an inflatable movie screen and popcorn.

FOR PUMPKIN CONTESTANTS: Please drop your pumpkin off before 4:30 Mass on the tables outside the Family Life Center. There will be a card with your family's name on a table, and that is where you will place your pumpkin. Get ready for Father Kyle, Mrs. Walls, Mr. Herrmann and Mrs. Collins to judge the jack-o-lanterns

Faith Moment

Month of the Holy Rosary

October has been designated as the month of the Holy Rosary, while October 7th is the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Our Lady famously appeared to St. Dominic and gave him the prayers of the Holy Rosary. Throughout this month we will be making a special effort to honor the Holy Rosary with some projects, praying a decade each day and having a rosary rally on October 22nd.

That's a lot of SOCKS!!

Thank you for the generous donations of socks that are pouring in! We will happily take sock donations through October 29th. Remember, all colors and sizes are acceptable. Socks must be brand new so we can give them to someone in need! Well done Livesays and St. Peter students!
