Principal's Message:
Dear St. Peter Family,
What a joyous week we have had at school! Together, we have celebrated our students' academic achievements and admired some exemplary Christian behaviors. We have prayed for our second graders as they made their First Reconciliation, and we are rooting on our eighth graders who will be confirmed tomorrow. I am very proud of how our students come together and celebrate good news for each other. Additionally, this week we had some fun activities that just make our school extra special. Thanks to Mrs. Jobe and her many volunteers, we held our second Scholastic Book Fair of the year, and Mrs. West held a fantastic Math Night for our younger students. We've also been cheering on St. Peter's University as they make their way through March Madness! Between our students, teachers, volunteers, and families, we have a truly unique and special community that make St. Peter School the best school around! We are praying every day for St. Peter to guide us...we are in good hands!
St. Peter, friend of Jesus,
PRAY FOR US!
Mrs. Kadel
| On Wednesday, our second graders received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. Special thanks to Miss Deis and Mrs. Dieringer who have worked hard to prepare their students. We continue to pray for our second graders as they approach their First Communion. You are loved second graders! | |
We are making some changes to our school uniform! Listed below are some of the highlights, Please note: next year is a transition year. We will be accepting our old uniform items along with our new items for one year. The 2023-2024 school year will be the first year all changes must be adapted.
- Uniform shirts will need to be purchased through our uniform company, Educational Apparel, as they will be embroidered with our school logo. There will be a girl and boy fit for the shirts (girls may wear either fit).
- There is a new jumper available for girls in grades K-3.
- There is a navy skirt (shorts built in) and a traditional plaid skirt available for girls 4-8.
- Pants and shorts may be purchased anywhere, but they must meet our uniform guidelines: navy blue, side slant pockets (no cargo pockets, no leggings or sweatpants, no "jeans" style of pants).
- Sweatshirts may be purchased through the uniform company: they are gray with a plaid or navy "P" on the front.
- Fleece and performance quarter zips will be available through the uniform company.
- Vests no longer need to be purchased! They will no longer be part of our dress code.
- Next year will be the last year the burgundy sweatshirts may be worn.
We will send more information soon! Just remember that next year is a transition year, so shirts with patches and burgundy sweatshirts may still be worn!
| We have just received notice that school lunches are expected to return to normal next school year, with the USDA not extending free lunches. We will be sending information out over the summer about how to pay for student lunches through our provider, St. Albert Nutrition Services. |

The Sacrament of Confirmation
In receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, our relationship with God is made stronger. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are strengthened: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. In this way, we are equipped to become better witnesses to Christ in the world. A bishop is the usual celebrant of the Sacrament of Confirmation. During the celebration of Confirmation, the bishop extends his hands over those to be confirmed and calls upon God: “Send your Holy Spirit upon them to be their helper and guide.” Then each person to be confirmed is anointed with chrism on the forehead as the bishop says, “Be sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit.” Please pray for our eighth graders who are being Confirmed this Saturday at 5PM at Our Lady of the Rosary!
