| | Holy Week Recap and Gratitude | | |
We'd like to thank everyone who made Holy Week special, whether you gave your time, talent, or treasure! We would especially like to thank the following:
Our clergy, Rev. Barb and Rev. Bob Smith, for leading the liturgy. We would like to thank all those who helped prepare the church for Holy Week, including Karen Sayer and the Altar Guild, Dave Kipphut and the cleaning volunteers, and Bridget Burless for arranging the Garden of Repose each year.
We would also like to thank our worship ministers who served during the worship. We would like to thank our Tech Team—PJ Linke, Mike Levine, and James Moore—for making our services available to our online community. We'd like to thank our musical directors, including Carol Cei and the St. Peter's Choir, and our Bell Choir director, Kathy Flaherty, and the St. Peter's Bell Choir. We'd like to thank our church staff, Tim Valera and Charlese Freeman. We would also like to thank Suzanne Teleha, Helen Collins, and everyone who assisted with the food and fellowship portion of Holy Week.
We would also like to again congratulate Marsha Blake, who was formally received into the Episcopal Church, and Keirstin Sibley, who reaffirmed her Baptismal promises during the Easter Vigil at the Diocesan Cathedral on Saturday.

Prayers for the Roman Catholic Community as they Mourn the death of Pope Francis
We send prayers of comfort to all those who are mourning the death of Pope Francis, who died on Easter Monday, April 21.
Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe expressed his condolences, saying, "My heart is heavy at the death of our brother in Christ, Pope Francis. Throughout his life and ministry, he has been a witness for the Gospel and a champion for the poor and marginalized. Especially in this season, I give thanks for his powerful advocacy on behalf of migrants and refugees. Pope Francis, who was the first Latin American pope, understood these siblings in Christ are never at the edges, fearful and alone."

Don’t Stop the Music
This week, the Folk Group will lead us in the music of the Liturgy, so I would like to take this opportunity to share a few sentences about our fine Choir and the music program at St. Peter’s.
Over these many months, we have been graced with music from many historical periods, from past to present. Just during this Lenten season, culminating on Easter Sunday, we have experienced beautiful music through the centuries—traditional hymns for the congregation and excerpts from major musical works for our Choir and St. Peter’s Bells.
| | Donate to the Food Cupboard | |
Consider including items for the food cupboard in your giving. Drop them off in the wagon at the back of the church on Sundays, or place them on the shelves at the food cupboard entrance any time during the week.
We need soup, mac & cheese, spaghetti-Os, protein such as meat stews, chicken, tuna, Spam, and peanut butter and jelly.
Thank you for your support,
Audrey Kipphut and Rick DeKalb.

Join Us in Giving and Gathering: First Aid Kit Supplies Needed by May 21 for the Montgomery Deanery’s Annual Convocation
This year’s Montgomery Deanery Convocation invites everyone—clergy, parishioners, and friends—to come together in both spirit and action as we support The Clare Project. We’re collecting supplies now through May 21 to assemble 150 First Aid Kits for those who are unhoused or otherwise unable to seek medical care.
On Wednesday, May 21, all are welcome to gather with fellow deanery members to assemble the kits, share fellowship, and bless the supplies before they’re delivered to The Clare Project and Sunshine House in Kensington at St. Matthew's in Maple Glen. Donate the supplies using the Amazon store here.
Questions? Reach out to Rev. Mary McCullough revmarymccullough123@gmail.com or montcopadeanery@gmail.com
Let’s come together to make a difference.
