Notes from the Rector
Dear Church Family,

There is never a dull moment at St. Peter's and this weekend is no exception! Our rummage sale is well underway and continues tomorrow.
The sale is open today, June 10th until 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 11th from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The Women of St. Peter's have been hard at work.
A reminder that our Parish Picnic will be held this Sunday, June 12th following the outdoor service at 10:00 a.m. In the event of rain, we will have a regular service inside and reschedule the picnic for later in the summer. I will send out an email late Saturday night/ early Sunday morning, if this is the case. Assuming the weather cooperates, be sure to sign up in church or electronically and bring your favorite dish. Weather permitting there will also be water games, corn hole and a water balloon rematch. I look forward to seeing you all this Sunday!

Our trip to Lincoln Motor Speedway is being postponed due to rain. Keep an eye out for a new date later this summer.

Also, results are in for our Shrine Mont Family Camp dates! We will be going to camp, June 20-24th. Please sign up on the Shrine Mont website. Be sure to list St. Peter's as your church! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Blessings,
The Reverend Emily Lloyd+

Looking Ahead Summer Information
Rev. Emily will be taking some much needed time off starting June 13-July 13th. While she is away, our Senior Warden, Sandy Miller will be in charge. In the event of pastoral emergencies, Rev. Beth O'Callaghan and Rev. Vikki Clayton can be contacted. Our Deacon Sally is on leave at the moment. Sunday services will be offered by supply clergy while Rev. Emily is away.
Summer Service Schedule
Please note that starting Sunday, June 19th, we will begin our Summer Service Schedule of One service at 9:00 AM. This Summer schedule will run through September 4th, after which we will move into
our Fall Service Schedule.
COVID19 PROTOCOL UPDATE
As of Friday, March 3rd, masks are once more optional at St. Peter’s for those who are fully vaccinated.
Please continue to exercise good judgment and sensitivity during your time here; do not ask those who continue to wear masks why this is the case; read body language and social cues carefully and respect any wish for distance.

Also, I am thrilled to report that once again we welcome to offer the common chalice for the distribution of wine. This is completely optional. If you or your loved ones are unsure about the common cup, rest assured knowing that receiving the bread only is full participation in the Eucharist. We have been asked explicitly by our bishop to not reintroduce intinction into the common chalice. All health experts agree that it is the most unsanitary means of distributing communion. Communion will be served by sipping the wine directly from the chalice. Again, everyone is urged to participate as they are most comfortable.
