"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..."
Parish Up-Date
Wednesday, March 2, 2016 ~
Here you will find news to prepare you for parish activities, as well as other information regarding our parish and Church. In addition you will find links to various parish and Church websites.

It is our hope as a parish that we might grow in the grace of the Risen Christ  - allow that Grace to take control of your life .

Lent has begun, and we are offered the chance to look into our lives and into the eyes of our Merciful Heavenly Father. Lent is a time for Prayer, Almsgiving and Fasting. I beg you, do not take this offer lightly. Do not let lent pass by without changing you life and growing closer to God and one another.

A PARISHIONER IN NEED: a little while ago I told you about Allen Grimes, a parishioner who has been in need of a kidney transplant. The last time, we put out a call for help, a couple of people came forward, but the results were negative. So, once we are putting out a CALL FOR HELP. Allen has been on 18 months of dialysis and kidney failure, and needs to take a more aggressive approach at finding a KIDNEY DONOR. If you could help, please call Allen Grimes at 240-394-2568

This Sunday is the  Fourth Sunday of Lent

A word to the wise - DO NOT wait until the last minute.
(the Saturday of Palm Sunday weekend)
The longer you wait, the longer the line will be...

We will again have the Rite at the Masses the weekend of March 12/13.

Quarterly at Mass we celebrate the Rite for the Blessing of a Child in the Womb, and call forward expectant mothers and their families to receive the blessing.  The blessing can be received multiple times during the pregnancy.

The blessing sustains the parents by imparting grace and comfort in time of concern and need, unites the parish in prayer for the unborn child, and fosters respect for human life within society.

Please feel free to invite any friends or family members to Masses that weekend to receive the blessing.

So that we can be ready at each Mass, we ask those expectant mothers who want to be called forward to send your name and the Mass you will attend to Deacon Jerry at
jerry.jennings@archbalt.org or by calling 301-874-1755.  If you know someone who would like to receive the blessing outside of Mass, please contact Deacon Jerry.

SAVE THE DATE!

VBS 2016 will be here before you know it!  Mark your calendars for June 27th- July 1st!   We will be needing help!
