Thank You, St. Philippians!
Thousands of diapers and wipes donated
by Swain Marion, Home Missions Team
Jennie Richardson was one of the Home Missions team members on hand Monday to collect donations on the final day of the drive. Below, Deb Ohlendorf, Director of Development of Lowcountry Pregnancy Center, is ready to hand out supplies through the walk-up window.
Thank you to all who participated in the Lowcountry Pregnancy Center diaper and wipe drive! Again, we were overwhelmed with the love and generosity of our parishioners who helped those in need by supporting our Home Missions partner. We were able to collect 3,754 diapers and 2,672 wipes for LPC! They will distribute these items on Mondays and Wednesdays to those families in our lowcountry community who are seeking supplies during these difficult times.
LPC provides families with many other supplies, too, so if you're looking to find a home for your gently used baby items, see the list at the link below and consider donating to LPC!
Again, thank you for providing abundant blessings to our ministry partner as they pour love and support over these families!
Lowcountry Pregnancy Center provides support to pregnant women in the lowcountry with free medical and other pregnancy-related services. To help mothers and fathers prepare, LPC offers parenting classes along with free baby items each month.

Wednesdays Alive! Service Tonight at 5:30!
It was wonderful to be back in the sanctuary on a weekday evening as we resumed our Wednesdays Alive! services last week! Join us again tonight at 5:30 for our midweek, come-as-you-are service of Holy Communion! While we won't be gathering for supper afterwards, we will be offering two class/fellowship options later in the evening––one via Zoom and one in person. The Rev. Brian McGreevy's new C.S. Lewis class, "Mere Christianity: Timely Truth for a Hurting World," will meet on Zoom at 7:15 p.m., while College Fellowship (for young adults college-aged and up), will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Youth Room.

TONIGHT: C.S. Lewis's "Mere Christianity"
Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. on Zoom
We had a great online turnout last week as our resident C.S. Lewis scholar, the Rev. Brian McGreevy, kicked off his new class! Join him tonight at 7:15 p.m. on Zoom as he continues his exploration of C.S. Lewis's "Mere Christianity," a book that is still remarkably fresh today, serving as an encouragement to the believer, a winsome challenge to the doubter, and an effective apologetic for the unbeliever.
Do you receive Fr. Brian's updates and weekly wrap-up emails? Click here to read the message and materials he sent to the class yesterday, and if you'd like to join his list, let him know!

"Father Hare," Elsa, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Others Stop by the Church Office
Last Wednesday and Thursday, the St. Philip's office was filled with very special visitors from the St. Philip's Preschool! We saw Elsa, a lion, an elephant, a tractor, a Minion, Thomas the Tank Engine, a skeleton, Tinkerbell, a ghost, and ... well, we lost track of them all! And our clergy team had a special visitor, too: Father Hare!
If you follow St. Philip's on social media, you heard about this already. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account and you don't follow St. Philip's, what are you waiting for?

Daily Devotions from the Clergy of St. Philip's

Last Thursday, the Rev. Andrew O'Dell helped us shift our focus from October 31 to November 1: All Saints' Day, one of the most important days in the Church calendar. Yesterday, the Rev. Justin Hare helped calm whatever turmoil we might be feeling about Election Day by sharing a simple but encouraging truth from Revelation 7:9-17. Click the images above to watch!
Devotions are posted to the news section of our website at 7:00 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Click the top link below if you've missed any and need to catch up; click the bottom link if you'd like the devotions delivered to your email inbox and haven't yet signed up.
