THE SHEPHERD'S VOICE
October 21, 2021

St. Robert Catholic School students love God, their neighbors, science, technology, engineering, math and learning so they can
be the best they can be.

This Week at
St. Robert Catholic School!
Dear Parents,

What a week we have had! I think the above picture shares the overall feeling I've had each evening when I returned home. I pray we have weathered the storm and that we will not see any new cases for many weeks. Although I knew that we would eventually have a case or two in our community, I did not expect they would all happen at once! Thank you all for trusting me, the Health Department, and the Diocese as we reviewed each situation and made decisions about how to proceed in each case.

I also want to thank everyone for their kind words, questions about how we are doing, and for praying for our community. Each and everyone of you is what makes our school so special! I know that God put me in the right place!

We have some great news from this past week…our school is being recommended for accreditation with MNSAA (Minnesota Non-Public Schools Accreditation Association) through MANS (Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools). Our report, evidence, and the findings of the team is sent to MNSAA, and they will review the results and send us our certificate of accreditation! We are very proud of this accomplishment as we begin our 4th year as a school! Usually, this process does not happen until year 5, but I knew we were ready as a school to gain the ability to say we are accredited.

As a staff, we are all reading the Consecration to St. Joseph along with many parishioners, that began in our Parish on September 30. The faculty and I have planned time in our days and weekly meetings to discuss what we are learning about St. Joseph and how these lessons are enriching our lives. Today I read about how St. Joseph is the mirror of patience and how we need to “…imitate the patience of St. Joseph. [and] Ask God for the grace to love your neighbor. Be kind, peaceful, and merciful. “This is certainly true as we learn to navigate life in a pandemic. It was the message I needed today! I will end today, as we start each day at school, asking for St. Joseph to intercede for us…St. Joseph, pray for us!

Peace,
Liz

Please Help Us Reach
Our Goal!
Update - Fr. Len Sudlik Scholarship Fund

With the help of the our parish Knights of Columbus chapter and many parish families, we are steadily moving closer to our final goal to reach the threshold to allow for scholarship funds to be awarded.

We are so grateful for all of the generous donations already received.

We have already achieved our initial goal of $5,000 which allows for the fund to be established and we are steadily moving toward the final goal of $25,000 which is the threshold we need to cross to begin awarding scholarship money to our students. We are excited to report that we have already reached $16,600, more than halfway there!

We are asking our school and parish families to prayerfully consider making a donation to help us reach our final goal. Any amount is welcome!

If you are interested in making a donation... Please contact Liz Peters or Gen DeWildt. Donation checks can be made payable to "St. Robert Catholic School" with a notation of "Scholarship Fund" in the memo area.

We are so excited to announce our first parent-led afterschool
program for our students. As mentioned at our Parent Meeting, we would like to begin building a dynamic afterschool activities
program led by our talented school parents.

We have another After School Program
