THE SHEPHERD'S VOICE
November 18 2021

St. Robert Catholic School students love God, their neighbors, science, technology, engineering, math and learning so they can
be the best they can be.

Calling All Uniform Heroes!

This Week at
St. Robert Catholic School!
Dear Parents,

Wow! I can’t believe we have Thanksgiving break next week! This year is flying by! Earlier this week, when I was visiting a classroom, I learned we have already been in school 58 days!
As we begin this holiday season, I want to sincerely thank every one of you for all that you are doing to make St. Robert Catholic School a success and a safe and healthy place for our students. Who would have imagined, in the fall of 2018, when we opened our doors that the past 3 years would have been as wonderful and challenging as they have been?

I know that God brought us all here together because we have work to do for Him! It is in His honor that we are united in the mission to raise little saints. I thank you for your partnership!
I pray that you have a restful and healthy Thanksgiving!

Peace,
Liz

Cold Weather is Here!

Please remember to send your students each day with warm hats, mittens, coats, boots, etc. They will be spending as much time in the fresh
air as possible!

Also, now that we are moving into snow weather, all snow clothes will be sent home at the end of your student's week to give you the opportunity to wash and dry wet and dirty items.

Coming Soon!
Our School Christmas Giving Project
A Pajama Drive!

For our Giving Project this year, we are planning a Pajama Drive. Here are the details...

Timing - November 29 - December 13

Goal - Collect and donate at least 50 new pairs of pajamas for ages ranging from 2T - Teens as well as socks and underwear for these same size ranges.

Donations can be brought to the school office.

Donations Will Be Donated to...
United Church Outreach Ministry
Safehaven Ministries

Bonus!
If we reach our goal, the whole school will have a Pajama Day on Monday, December 13!
Tennis Shoes!

Please be sure your student is wearing actual tennis shoes on the day of their gym class. It becomes extremely difficult and it presents a significant safety hazard when students are wearing boots, dress shoes, etc... during gym.

An important part of gym class is to access the student's agility, flexibility, and movement skills and when students are not wearing shoes that give them support and have the appropriate safe sole meant for gym floors and physical activity it affects their performance assessments.

to Help Us Reach
Our Goal!
Update - Fr. Len Sudlik Scholarship Fund

With the help of the our parish Knights of Columbus chapter and many parish families, we are steadily moving closer to our final goal to reach the threshold to allow for scholarship funds to be awarded.

We are so grateful for all of the generous donations already received.

We have already achieved our initial goal of $5,000 which allows for the fund to be established and we are steadily moving toward the final goal of $25,000 which is the threshold we need to cross to begin awarding scholarship money to our students. We are excited to report that we have already reached $17,900, more than halfway there!

We are asking our school and parish families to prayerfully consider making a donation to help us reach our final goal. Any amount is welcome!

If you are interested in making a donation... Please contact Liz Peters or Gen DeWildt. Donation checks can be made payable to "St. Robert Catholic School" with a notation of "Scholarship Fund" in the memo area.
