This Week at St. Robert Catholic School!
Happy Friday Everyone!
This has been a very busy and very wonderful week!
Let's start with a recap of the school "Fun" Raiser! We had about 130 people attend the event and I have heard wonderful comments about how much fun it was! The putt-putt was very entertaining and creative, thanks to Fr. Len! Everyone on staff at school was overwhelmed by the generous bids on our Silent Auction items, the donations toward teacher classroom wishes, the PA system, and tuition assistance! Thank you to our business sponsors for your support! Finally, thank you to our Home and School Association for all the hard work putting this event together!
It seems like our gathering did exactly what we all hoped it would do, it helped us get to know each other and bond our school and parish community! I hope everyone had a chance to meet someone new and connect with the parents of your child’s classmates!
We were also very successful at raising some funds for our school! Once we get final numbers, Home and School will report out the profits made at our first ever “Fun” Raiser!
The Good News Book Fair is set up outside of the nursery! We had a great turn out during conferences last night. If you didn’t get a chance to visit the book fair yet, it will be open this afternoon from 2:30-3:30 and over the weekend after the 4:30, 9:00, and 11:00 Masses.
Fall conferences for 2019 are in the books! We had a wonderful night sharing with our 4-year-old, young 5, kindergarten, and first grade parents about what our students are learning and doing! We are looking forward to winter conference with our 3-year-old parents!
We are still searching for a school secretary! Please keep us in your prayers during this transition! We are managing the school office with staff and volunteers. We thank you in advance for your patience if we are slower when answering the phone or door!
The children are enjoying the snow! Please make sure to send snow pants, boots, hats, mittens, and warm coats each day. We do take the students outside every day and we want them to enjoy the playground and stay warm and dry.
Peace,
Liz
