THE SHEPHERD'S VOICE
October 28, 2020

St. Robert Catholic School students love God, science, technology,
engineering, math and learning so they can be the best they can be.

This Week at
St. Robert Catholic School!
Dear Parents,

We are already deep into planning for the 2021-22 school year! It always amazes me how quickly the school office must shift from the current school year to the next school year!

Even more exciting...We have also begun the planning for the school years beyond next year and I want to share with you some of what we are planning as we grow our school!

I have been in communication and meetings with our Trustees, School Board members, architects, and vendors to begin working on a master plan for how and where the school will grow. Although nothing is set in stone, here is a timeline for the next few phases of our growing school.

A playground designed for grades 3rd and up will be installed before school starts next fall. Ideally, this will happen in the spring so our students can enjoy the new space before school is out.

For the 2021-22 school year we will move our 2nd and 3rd grade students upstairs to a classroom right above the school office.

In the fall of 2024 we hope to unveil the new middle school wing and full size gym. There is still a lot that needs to be decided and figured out between now and then, but the initial meetings and discussions that need to happen have begun!

I will share more information as it becomes available and of course, there will be opportunities for your ideas and opinions as we go through this process. I just wanted to share with you that the future for our school and its growth are bright!

Peace,
Liz
Virtue of the Week...Responsibility
Fulfilling our just duties; accepting the consequences of one's words and actions, intentional and unintentional.

Would the "Hockey Stick Fairy" please make yourself known to Mrs. Russell? She is thrilled with this anonymous donation and would truly like to express her appreciation for your generosity!
Special Playground Wish List

As we look for ways to continue social distancing in a healthy way, we are planning to convert a portion of our parking lot to a safe, open play area for recess. As a result, we have asked Beth Russell, our Gym Teacher, to identify some additional play items that would enhance our outdoor play area. Here are a few items that would be very helpful...

  • Jump Ropes (singles and double sizes)

  • Skip Its (plastic)

  • Chinese Jump Ropes

  • Side Walk Chalk

Uniform Policy for
Elementary Students
(Y5s - 2nd Grade)

It's great to be back in school and we are thrilled to be finding some sense of normalcy. However, we are seeing many students arriving at school not dressed in the proper school uniform and/or not following the uniform guidelines. Our school uniform policy is intended to create a school identity and sense of community. Adhering to the school uniform policy teaches our students to respect rules and guidelines

Please note that all Elementary students (Y5s - 2nd Grade) should be wearing actual uniform tops and bottoms purchased from Lands End at Landsend.com.

Lands' End has all acceptable uniform pieces on their website. If you purchase from our school section you will have exactly what you need.
