Dear St. Serra Parents,
Welcome back!
Our teachers and staff return to campus tomorrow and it brings me great pleasure to share that everyone is eager and ready to make the 2023-2024 school year a fantastic one! This will be a busy week as we prepare for our students’ return and finalize plans for a successful and enjoyable school year.
“Though your beginnings were small, your latter days will be very great.”
Job 8:7
Upon returning to school, you will notice some new features around campus–all designed to help enhance our already beautiful grounds. As previously mentioned, the new Field project included exciting updates such as new grass on the playing field and new basketball and sand volleyball courts. In addition, a new site was designated outside the chapel as a Memorial Garden in memory of our beloved custodian, Jesse Lopez, who sadly, passed away last spring. And finally, over the summer several vital maintenance projects were addressed as part of our mission to continue providing optimal school operations as these enhancements and additions are critical to our children's learning process and help provide a safe and thriving environment.
I would also like to highlight that there are many volunteer opportunities throughout the school year and it is important for your child/children to see you play an active role in their school community. I encourage you to get involved at St. Serra early in the school year as we greatly value the partnerships we have with our parents and the time and talents you share with us.
Finally, I look forward to meeting and getting to know all the new families that are now a part of the St. Serra community and to all our returning families, please join me in making our new students and parents feel welcomed and a part of our St. Serra family.
Always striving,
Tim Tolzda, Sr. Principal
