A MESSAGE FROM SR. PRINCIPAL, MR. TOLZDA

Dear St. Serra Parents,

Welcome back! I hope that everybody had an enjoyable, relaxing Christmas break! As we begin the new year I am looking forward to beginning right where we left off - with lots of excitement and energy around campus!  Back in August, we experienced a really great beginning to the school year; since then, we’ve seen our students continue to excel in and out of the classroom. Now, 5 months later, the students’ progress is really starting to show. It is really encouraging to watch the children grow, learn and develop as the year progresses.

As the school year continues, we have many fantastic events and activities planned at St. Serra. There are numerous parents involved in planning and participating in these events, all of which are designed to support and enhance the children's learning experience, and for this I am extremely grateful! I encourage and invite all parents to get involved in some capacity. I realize that parents are busy with life, work, and raising their children, and finding time to participate with the school can be challenging. But getting involved at St. Serra demonstrates to your children that you are invested in their education. They will come to see that ‘it must be important if mom and dad are here.’ There are so many volunteer opportunities that are beneficial to you, your children and our school, and I hope that you consider taking advantage of them. Please reach out to our PTO or directly to us at St. Serra. The benefits resulting from your gifts of time and talent will be well worth the effort.

Finally, remember that all children have ‘bumps’ in their journey at one time or another, and St. Serra is dedicated to assisting our students through various challenges. Please know that if you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to know, ‘is this normal?’, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Always striving,

Tim Tolzda

Sr. Principal
