St. Stephen's Weekly Touchstone

The Twenty-first Sunday after Pentecost

October 22, 2023

Sunday, October 29 is Stewardship Sunday!

Last week you received a pledge card along with a letter from Fr Garrett encouraging prayerful consideration of the role St. Stephen's plays in your life and in the life of our community.

St. Stephen's is a foundational element of Armonk, and for 182 years has offered a home for worship, fellowship and service.

Note that our parish budget relies on parishioner support for 48% of our funding!

We will be gathering all of our pledges and giving thanks for the ministry they will make possible on Stewardship Sunday, October 29th. Please plan to attend and participate in that service.

You can stream our Sunday service at the link below
at 10am.

Our office administrator Julie Ransom hosted coffee hour last Sunday, and her offerings included Oat Stovies, created by a ship's captain many generations ago to stave off scurvy! They were surprisingly delicious, given their medicinal goals.

Lifelong parishioner Michael Ramsey is appearing in the very funny song-and-dance packed musical comedy, "Something Rotten", at Western Connecticut State University last weekend. A group from St. Stephen's attended, enjoying Michael's great comedic performance and the 200+ sly references to famous musicals along with many Shakespeare jokes.

Our Scout Leader reports the Scouts participated in the fishing derby held at the Scout Camp in Greenwich a week ago, and Kayla Santarsiere from Pack 94 Webelos came in 2nd place! She caught 10 fish in total.
