What is Curriculum Night

• Parents of all grades - Preschool - 8th - come to school to meet their child(ren)'s teachers and learn about the curriculum and activities for the year
• Opportunity to meet and connect with other parents, learn about the Parents Association and school activities
• Opportunity to sign up for extra curriculars
• Opportunity to order SpiritWear
• Parents only - no children should attend (except for infants)

Structure of Curriculum Night:

• Preschool, Kindergarten, 4th and 6th grades:  structured presentation and orientation to new academic level your child is starting
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th: visit classrooms and teachers open house style
• 7th and 8th: walk your child's schedule at 5:45, visit with your child's teachers
• All Grades:  Introductory video from your child's teacher sent home August 15 - view prior to attending Curriculum Night

Schedule of Events on Curriculum Night:

5:00-5:45

• Preschool Parents: Preschool Orientation in your child's assigned homeroom 
• 6th Grade Parents:  Welcome to 6th Grade Orientation in your child's assigned homeroom
• All other grades: light supper in the O'Brien, your child's classroom open to visit!

5:45

• Middle School Parents: walk your child's schedule starting in his/her assigned homeroom

6:00-6:45

• Kindergarten Parents: Welcome to Kindergarten Orientation in your child's assigned homeroom 
• All other grades:  light supper in the O'Brien, your child's classroom open to visit!

7:00-7:45

• 4th Grade Parents:   Welcome to 4th Grade Orientation in your child's assigned homeroom
• All other grades:  light supper in the O'Brien, your child's classroom open to visit!

In the Classrooms:

• Meet your child's teacher
• Meet the parents of your child's classmates
• Learn about the academic curriculum and study skills your child will be learning this year
• Experience your child's learning environment
• Turn in paperwork

In the O'Brien:

• Light supper to enjoy and socialize with other parents
• Extracurricular activity sign ups
• Parents Association information
• Spiritwear display and ordering
