Rev. Robert J. Rippy
Congratulations to our Altar Servers Luis and Michael for their years of service to the Cathedral!
God Bless and Good Luck as you head off to college.
Deacon Christopher Tipton was ordained as a transitional deacon at the Cathedral on June 3. He has been assigned to the Cathedral. He was born in NC into a military family [Army] and moved around the U.S and overseas. He attended Christendom College, graduating in 2012 with a B.A in Philosophy and Theology. Immediately after, he became a seminarian for our diocese and has been studying at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia. With one year left at the seminary, Deacon Christopher asks for your prayers and is eager to serve the parishioners at St. Thomas More.
Deacon Tipton will be working with Fr. Christensen on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program at the Cathedral this summer. Deacon will be hosting two seminars for individuals who would like to learn more about the faith.
Want to learn more about the faith or RCIA?
Are you someone or know someone who: 1) has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic? 2) Has a child over the age of seven who has not been baptized? 3) Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist? Or 4) just curious? Then join Deacon Christopher Tipton on either date:
Wednesday, July 19th – 7:30-8:30 PM in Burke Hall
Monday, August 7th – 8:30-9:30 PM in the Rectory Conference Room
for any inquiry into the Rite of Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
No commitment required.
Bring family, friends, or invite anyone who may be interested!
