How Do I Baptize my child at the Cathedral?
Through the grace of Baptism, we become God the Father’s sons and daughters in Christ. We are delighted to welcome the youngest members of your family into the Body of Christ through the Sacrament of Baptism!
Baptisms for infants usually take place the third Sunday of the month at 2:30 P.M. Other dates are possible. Please consult one of the priests. If, however, your child has reached the use of reason (usually around 6 or 7) and is under the age of 18, please contact Lynn Jones, Director of Religious Education, email@example.com, for baptism information. If you are an adult seeking baptism, please contact Fr. Christensen, firstname.lastname@example.org, and visit our Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
Please complete the Baptism Registration form to register your child for baptism. Once completed, you can mail, email or drop off the form to the parish office. A member of the parish staff will contact you upon receiving your submission.
Please note: You must be a parishioner to schedule the baptism of your child at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More.
For additional information, go to the Baptism page on the website.
Want to learn more about the faith or RCIA?
Are you someone or know someone who:
1) has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic?
2) Has a child over the age of seven who has not been baptized?
3) Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist? Or
4) just curious?
Then join Deacon Christopher Tipton on either:
Wednesday, July 19th – 7:30-8:30 PM in Burke Hall
Monday, August 7th – 8:30-9:30 PM in the Rectory Conference Room
for any inquiry into the Rite of Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
