This month we are in need of Ketchup, Mustard, Salad Dressing, Tuna, Cake mixes, Jello and Dish Soap. Donations can be left outside the rectory door in the covered alcove by the side door of the rectory. If you are unable to go to a grocery store, monetary donations are always appreciated. Thank you for your continued support!
Help needed - Please consider volunteering

It should come as no surprise that there is a critical blood supply crisis here in Wisconsin. Over 4000+ blood drives have been canceled since COVID began, dramatically impacting supplies.

St. Thomas/St Clare and Waterford have been doing their part to help during this crisis. This is due in large part to the dedication and hard work of Pat Popp and Adrienne Kessler (Adrienne no longer lives in Waterford but continues to help coordinate blood drives.)

THANK YOU PAT AND ADRIENNE

St. Thomas has been asked to host a blood drive every month since so many schools and businesses are unable to host blood drives. In order to commit to this level, we need a couple people who are able to help organize and advertise these events. This is a critical ministry and something that benefits so many.

PLEASE CALL THE PARISH OFFICE (262-534-2255) IF YOU ARE ABLE TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP COORDINATE THESE EVENTS WITH PAT AND ADRIENNE

We are scheduled for a blood drive in July! See below and mark your calendars.
Confirmation 2020 is scheduled

We are pleased to announce Confirmation 2020 has been rescheduled for August 30th and September 20th at 2:00 PM. Both Confirmation Masses will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas this year. Staff members from both parishes gathered to discuss how best to accommodate the Confirmands and their families during these restrictive times. The Archdiocesan Catholic Comeback Matrix states Masses can only hold 25% of the parish’s original occupancy. St. Thomas can hold 175 people per mass compared to 125 at St. Clare. St. Thomas Aquinas parish also utilizes live streaming technology so those that are at risk (or if occupancy limit is reached) can still view the Confirmation ceremony. We are committed to holding Confirmation 2021 at St. Clare when restrictions may be lifted. Here are a few notes to keep in mind as you sign up:

  • The Confirmand should arrive with their sponsor and may invite up to 3 other people, for a total of 5.
  • Signing up for a Mass time is first come first serve.
  • Please consider wearing a mask and follow all social distancing guidelines.

Please let your parish youth minister know if you have any questions.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS

As each week passes, more and more people are returning to Mass. This is wonderful to see and we are very excited to watch attendance grow. With that in mind, it is CRITICAL we continue to follow safe practices when attending Mass. Here are a few reminders:
  • Please use our online sign-up process located on our website or on Facebook to ensure we maintain our capacity limit. If you are uncomfortable signing up online, please call the rectory office at 262-534-2255.
  • Masks are strongly recommended
  • Please move to the center of the pew if it available when being seated
  • Everyone should proceed to the front of church for communion, whether you receive communion or not. We do not want people stepping across or over those who remain seated.
  • Maintain 6 ft distance between households at all time
  • Follow all usher directions. There should never be two communion lines down the center isle at the same time.
  • Please exit the church as directed by the ushers. Those sitting on the West side of the church must exist the door in the front of church, starting with the front pew. Those seated on the east side of church should exist the main entrance, starting with the last pew.
  • Fr Ed has eliminated the closing song for each mass. Music will play as you exit, but you may begin to exit as soon as he provides the final blessing.

Please note that the Archbishop recently extended dispensation for attending Mass through August 2. If you are uncomfortable returning to Mass, please be aware the obligation remains lifted at this time.
