Dear St. Thomas Family,
When Jesus was asked what the most important commandment is, He said, "Love your God", Then quickly followed saying, the second most important is, "to love your fellow human being".
What better and easier way to do so than to help those who are in need? We have the opportunity to give that love to thirty homeless people by signing up for a 5-hour shift during our ChristNet nights.
-
Yes, it may be a bit inconvenient.
- Yes, it may be a bit of a sacrifice.
-
Yes, you may lose some sleep.
But, consider how MUCH we have, how MUCH we receive through God's grace.
We are taught and believe that we receive God's grace without having to ask for it. We are also taught that we are to allow that grace to flow through us to others. We are to give it to others without them having to ask for it. When you give God's grace you receive much more in return.
I am asking you - for them - to allow God's grace to flow through you - to them - the homeless.
All you have to do is sign up for 5 hours. Call the church office - 675-0005 - or call me, text me, -Jeff-734-693-3832.
VOLUNTEER SLOTS STILL OPEN:

God's Peace,
