Grats to the Grads!
Pastor Duane Schafer, Alaina Gartner,
Ethan Bammer, and Marcia Aller
Alaina and Ethan
A recognition ceremony was held on Sunday, June 6 for our two outstanding high school graduates AND Aller/WELCA Scholarship recipients -
Ethan Bammer and Alaina Gartner.
Both grads have been active and accomplished in school, sports, church and community. Ethan is pursuing engineering at the University of Toledo. Alaina is going to Purdue
for an engineering degree, as well.
Marcia Aller presented the scholarships in Pastor Aller's name to the recipients
after a beautiful photo presentation of Alaina and Ethan through the years.
A picture-perfect reception was held on the green outside following the service.

Congratulations to Alaina and Ethan as they pursue their dreams!
St. Thomas at the Parade
St. Thomas Lutheran Church had a presence at the IslandFest parade held on Macomb Street this past Saturday morning. A beautiful booth was set up and energetic volunteers distributed much-appreciated totes
with the church logo prominently displayed.
Each tote contained a flyer advertising St. Thomas' worship services, offerings of study, outreach and fellowship, as well as some essential pieces of candy!
Special thanks to Brian Long and Lifelong Family Dentistry
for allowing us to set up in their parking lot.
Chris Riley, chair of the Evangelism Committee at St. Thomas
headed up the effort, but many people helped make it a success!

Thanks to the following: Ben Fogt, Duncan Fogt, Tristan Fogt,
Jeff and Kathie Kline and their two nieces,
Gayle Withey, Marcia Aller, Betty Ruck, Bob Krzeczkowski ,
Tim and Lisa Perry, David Patterson, Chloe and Paczki.
Father's Day is Coming!
Father's Day is Sunday, June 20.

We will celebrate our important dads with a pictorial
tribute at our Thursday and Sunday services.
If you would like to add a father's photo to our collection, please send a labeled photo to the office by June 16th.

Any and all shoppers and helpers welcomed and appreciated!
It's not too late to sign up
for volunteering!
Join the fun this Friday as an exciting assortment of vendors come to our parking lot to display and sell their produce, crafts, creations, and food.
Food insecurity in the Downriver area is REAL!
