MASS TIME CHANGE

FOOD GATHERING - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19

This Sunday, September 19, we will be collecting food for the Guadalupe Center and their Loaves and Fishes pantry. The center is in real need of nonperishable dry beans, canned fruit and vegetables. Please have your donations by the church no later than 11:00 AM on Sunday. Thank you for your continued support for those less fortunate in our community.

ALPHA

What is Alpha? Alpha is a place to explore the Christian Faith with others. It is a low pressure environment to discuss the big questions in life. Every Alpha session has three key ingredients: Food, Talk & Discussion.
  • Food - Alpha is relational. Each Alpha session begins with a shared meal.
  • Talk - Every week, there is a talk that explores the basics of the Christian faith.
  • Discussion - After the talk, there is a time of discussion in small groups where guests can share their thoughts and questions.

FAITH FORMATION
Grades 1-6

Registration is NOW OPEN for the
2021-2022 School year!

Welcome! We are happy to welcome your family to St. Bernardine's Faith Formation Program. Faith Formation classes will begin on September 21, 2021. On site classes will be held on Tuesdays from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM for first through sixth grades. At the present time, all catechists and students will be required to wear face masks.

"The Blest Are We Faith in Action" religious education program was developed according to the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. These four parts of the Catechism are identified by the words Believe, Worship, Live, and Pray. Sacred Scriptures with activities serves as the background each week. A monthly resources packet will be sent home for families to share the Faith with your children. Preparation for the First Sacraments is also part of the program.

FAITH FORMATION

BIBLE STUDY

Bible Study is taking place via Zoom on Monday evenings from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM. If you are not already on the list, please call the Parish office at (818) 888-8200 to be put on the list.

In person, live Bible Study are on Tuesdays from 9:15 AM - 10:45 AM in the Church library. Please bring your bible. Light refreshments will be served.
FORWARD IN MISSION JUBILEE YEAR

Why - To revive the life of faith in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles through the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the raising up of a new generation of missionary disciples.

What - Jubilee Year from September 11, 2021 through September 10, 2022, celebrating 250 years of Catholic faith in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles on the anniversary of the founding of Mission San Gabriel Archangel, the first church in what is now the Archdiocese.

PRAY THE ROSARY...

The Rosary is prayed following the 8:30 AM Mass in the church on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (pending no funeral services). If interested, please join us.
FACE MASKS REQUIRED INDOORS

Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 infections and the rapid spread the Delta variant, face masks are mandatory indoors at St. Bernardine until further notice. For more information, please read the letter found on our parish website.
