ALTAR OF REPOSE
If you plan on participating, please call the church office to make an appointment for
The Vigil at the Altar of Repose.
Response has been limited this year so unless Vigil hours are taken by Thursday morning, the Vigil will be only until 7pm Thursday. We understand your caution in participating.
Beginning immediately,
St. Bride's is open for in-person worship.
The congregation must be masked and distanced.

PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE AND REMAIN SOCIALLY DISTANCED
ESPECIALLY IN THE AISLES, FLOWERING OF THE CROSS AND AFTER MASS, NO MATTER HOW GLAD YOU ARE TO SEE EACH OTHER.

We know that some people are not yet able to participate in person.
We will continue to live-stream our services.

9am Wednesday, Low Mass
11:00am Sunday, High Mass

The absent members of the congregation will be remembered in prayer.
Financial News
We try to be fiscally responsible with your gifts and donations. In order to afford a part-time priest we made the budget very conservative and did not allow for contingencies. As you remember, our boiler had a failure which meant that there were several days when the INSIDE temperature was in the forties! The boiler has been repaired but the relays, pumps and valves which needed to be replaced and the labor to replace them came to $3,680.75. The Vestry has chosen, rather than cut an already tight budget this early in the year, to ask for your assistance.
We have already received $1,550.00 in checks and pledge of up to $1,000.00. Can you assist us in keeping our budget balanced? Any funds we receive in excess of the needed $3,680.75 will be used to create a contingency fund in the budget. If you are able to assist with this project please mark your donation Boiler Fund.

St. Peter's has invited us to join them for Tenebrae tonight at 7pm.
During the service, which can be traced to the 9th century,
candles are extinguished as scripture is read.
The 2021 Flower and Candle charts have been posted.

St. Bride's is looking for some additional Ushers. Current responsibilities will be assisting attendees during the filming of Mass, and ensuring that the participants are socially distant. Ushers will also be responsible for pushing the button on an I-phone (provided) to begin recording the Mass, and stopping the recording following the Mass.
