The Office of the Bishop

Indoor worship to resume!
I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into
the house of the LORD! (Psalm 122:1)

With great joy, we are pleased to announce that percent positivity rates for the Commonwealth of Virginia have remained at or below 8 percent for 14 days or more. In consultation with the Health Advisory Panel, the Bishop is pleased to lift the restriction on indoor in-person worship and other gatherings.

Beginning immediately, St. Bride's is open for in-person worship. The congregation must be masked and distanced just as we were in the Fall.

We know that some people are not yet able to participate in person.
We will continue to live-stream our services.
The may be found by Googling St. Bride's Anglo-Catholic.

Current Mass times are
9am Wednesday, Low Mass
10:45am Sunday, High Mass

The absent members of the congregation will be remembered in prayer.

The 2021 Flower and Candle charts have been posted.
Please call the office if you have dedications for specific dates.
St. Bride's is looking for some additional Ushers. Current responsibilities will be assisting attendees during the filming of Mass, and ensuring that the participants are socially distant. Ushers will also be responsible for pushing the button on an I-phone (provided) to begin recording the Mass, and stopping the recording following the Mass.
Please see or call Mary Lovell if you are interested.
We will be collecting canned goods during
Lent to benefit
St. Matthews food closet.
Drop your cans/dry goods at Church during office hours
or use a key if you have one. Place them in the
box on the kitchen counter. If you would prefer you may send a check or bring money by. We will use the funds to purchase Food Lion gift cards.
Our parishioners as well as others in need may receive assistance from the food closet.

Happenings at St. Bride's
As you know, we have a Living Memorial Fund. Donations to this fund, in memory of loved ones, or in thanksgiving for an occasion or person are only used to purchase permanent items for use in the church. The Vestry has approved several expenditures from this fund. These pictures are of the red votive candles we previously used and the new blue candles.
