Financial News
We try to be fiscally responsible with your gifts and donations. In order to afford a part-time priest we made the budget very conservative and did not allow for contingencies. As you remember, our boiler had a failure which meant that there were several days when the INSIDE temperature was in the forties! The boiler has been repaired but the relays, pumps and valves which needed to be replaced and the labor to replace them came to $3,680.75. The Vestry has chosen, rather than cut an already tight budget this early in the year, to ask for your assistance.
We have already received $1,550.00 in checks and pledge of up to $1,000.00. Can you assist us in keeping our budget balanced? Any funds we receive in excess of the needed $3,680.75 will be used to create a contingency fund in the budget. If you are able to assist with this project please mark your donation Boiler Fund.
Thank you for considering this appeal.

Happenings at St. Bride's
As you know, we have a Living Memorial Fund. Donations to this fund, in memory of loved ones, or in thanksgiving for an occasion or person are
only used to purchase permanent items for use in the church.
The Vestry has approved several expenditures from this fund. These pictures are of the new set of white chasuble, which will be worn on The Feast of the Annunciation tomorrow night. This was purchased to replace a Chasuble which became too frail to wear.

We will be collecting canned goods during
Lent to benefit
St. Matthews food closet.
Drop your cans/dry goods at Church during office hours or use a key if you have one. Place them in the box on the kitchen counter. If you would prefer you may send a check or bring money by. We will use the funds to purchase Food Lion gift cards.
Our parishioners as well as others in need may receive assistance from the food closet.
St. Bride's is looking for some additional Ushers. Current responsibilities will be assisting attendees during the filming of Mass, and ensuring that the participants are socially distant. Ushers will also be responsible for pushing the button on an I-phone (provided) to begin recording the Mass, and stopping the recording following the Mass.
Please see or call Mary Lovell if you are interested.
