HOLY WEEK AND EASTER
We had a very successful Holy week and Easter. It was wonderful to celebrate in
(almost) the way are accustomed to. We are still unable to have a full
Altar party (5-6 people) but are doing well with three.
Attendance for Holy week was:
Maundy Thursday, 11 in person and 46 online.
Good Friday, 12 in person and 27 online.
The Great Vigil of Easter 18 in person and 64 online.
Easter Sunday 23 in person (including three visitors) and 50 online.
That's 251 in attendance for the Triduum!
By the way, we have over 500 people who follow our Facebook page!
Boiler Fund
Thank you for your generous contributions to the boiler fund. We have received $3650.00
of the $3680.75 needed to pay the repair bill. There are several pledges for additional funds. Any surplus will be added to a contingency fund.
You are all amazing!
THANK YOU!
The 2021 Flower and Candle charts have been posted.
Please call the office if you have dedications for specific dates.
Forms for dedications on Mother's Day and Father's Day will be posted shortly.
St. Bride's is looking for some additional Ushers.
Current responsibilities will be assisting attendees during the filming of Mass, and ensuring that the participants are socially distant. Ushers will also be responsible for pushing the button on an I-phone (provided) to begin recording the Mass, and stopping the recording following the Mass.
Please see or call Mary Lovell if you are interested.
Fr. Jesse and Sophia will host a picnic on the church grounds on May 1.
Young people ages 20-40 (appoximately) are invited to attend.
Mass (St. Phillip and James) at noon followed by a cookout/picnic. Hot dogs, hamburgers
and buns will be provided. Attendees should bring a side dish or dessert.
Spouses, significant others, children and friends are welcome.
