"Being Made New"
From Stewardship Chair, Mary Crawford:
Pledges in hand: 70
Total of these 70 pledges: $167,998
There are 16 of us who pledged in 2019 but who have not pledged yet for 2020.
For 2019 these 16 pledges totaled $27,500. If those 16 pledged the same amount for 2020, their pledges would equal $27,500, which would put us at $195,498. That is above last year’s total, yet $19,502 short of our stretch goal.
Let’s show our Rector-in-Waiting how excited we are to welcome him or her! If you have already pledged, please prayerfully consider increasing your pledge. If you have yet to pledge for 2020, please prayerfully consider submitting your pledge before our ingathering on November 3, when pledges will be given to God in thanksgiving for his grace and favor. If you are new to St. Francis, or if you are a new pledger, please prayerfully consider your role in welcoming our new Rector!
Second session this Sunday, October 20
Please come, as this is starting to be a great discussion.
Rev. Steve is leading.

beginning October 13
. Evans grew up in Appalachia, in a family committed to the strictest of Biblical interpretation.
is both the story of her journey to a new understanding of the Bible (and to the Episcopal Church), and a reader’s guide to dealing with some of the Bible’s most difficult stories – including the treatment of women, war stories, fables, parables, and the reality of God who loves us all.
If you wish to purchase the book, it is available from Amazon for $9.49.
