The worship service at St. John will be going LIVE!!!
Equipment to live stream our worship service will be installed this week. So, starting Sunday, November 28th you will be able to go to YouTube and in the search box, type St. John Lutheran Charles City IA and watch the worship service live at 9:00 a.m.!
The service will also be recorded at that time & will be available after 10:00 a.m

Youth: November is Food Month. We ask that you bring non-perishable food items to Sunday School each Sunday of the month. These items will be used in our Blessing Box or donated to the
food pantry here in Charles City.

Angel tree is accepting donations to go towards food baskets. Please bring your donation to St. John & if writing a check, make it out to St. John & write Angel Tree on the memo line.
Angel Tree provides gifts for children of incarcerated parents, food and religious materials for their families, and Bibles for the prisoners. Please support the program again this year.

The Charles City Singers will be presenting a concert in our sanctuary on Sunday, December 5. at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at First Security and First Citizens Banks or from any Singer for $10.
Masking is kindly and strongly requested.
The Family board will be hosting our 25 Cent Store on Sunday, December 5th . This is an opportunity for parents to bring children to purchase gifts for siblings, parents and grandparents. We are asking the congregation for donations of Christmas items, crafts, and gently used toys that might be fun gifts for children to purchase. The Deacon Board invites all who would like to help decorate the Sanctuary for Christmas to come at 9:00 a.m. on December 4th!
The Sunday School Christmas program will be on December 12, 2021, during the 9:00 a.m. worship service.

Blessing Box Donations
Remember to bring items for the Blessing Box! Many people are using our Blessing Box, so let’s keep it filled!
Popular items: protein (chicken, tuna, meat sticks), boxes of cereal, individual easy-to-prepare meals. Bread & peanut butter. Cake mix & frosting. Pancake mix & syrup. Hot chocolate & marshmallows. Suggested items are anything shelf-stable (non-perishable) food and non-food items.
Personal care items (bar soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo), toilet paper, tissues. Dish soap, laundry detergent (small containers). 

Donated items can be put directly in the little food pantry outside the East door.


After Worship Fellowship!
Coffee & a treat will be served after church in the Parish Hall this week. Enjoy a moment to reconnect with each other in fellowship!

What you choose to bring for a treat is entirely up to you!

Altar Flower & Radio Sign-up: If you would like to sign up to sponsor the Altar flowers &/or the radio broadcast contact Kathy in the office at 641-228-3397! We will continue to have flowers as they are on the online service & the radio broadcast reaches many of our at home congregation!

Dartball at St. John
Dartball is a team activity at St. John. Matches are played at St. John and other participating churches. For more information call Dennis Sande at 228-4113. A full schedule can be picked up in the St. John office.
