We need items to fill the Box!
Suggested items are anything shelf-stable (non-perishable) food items that are sealed and able to handle current temperatures. Examples…
Food: peanut butter, dried fruit/fruit cups, canned vegetables, rice/pasta pouches, cereal, granola bars, crackers, popcorn, soup, mac & cheese, juice boxes.
Non-food items: socks, baby wipes, personal care items, feminine hygiene products, cleaning supplies, mini laundry detergent.
A box for donations will be available in the Narthex.
Coats for Kids will be coming October 9th. As you ready your children for the coming cold winter, please consider donating new or gently used coats, snow pants, boots, mittens, or hats. There are many children in Charles City who will love getting a “new” coat for winter!

Those students who have finished the third year of our confirmation program will be writing their personal faith statements to put on their display board for the Confirmation Fair on Wednesday, October 6th. The students will be receiving the information about these faith statements soon.
The congregation is invited to attend this event in the Parish Hall after supper to ask the confirmands about their faith boards. The writing of these faith statements will hopefully give the students an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned, what they believe, and how their faith will affect the way they live their daily life following Confirmation Sunday. The display boards will also contain some other information such as reflections on their baptism and their favorite service project.
Confirmation Sunday is October 10, 2021.

Confirmation Orientation is September 22nd at 6:00 p.m.
Registration fee is $10. This helps cover the cost of curricula and supplies.
Confirmation classes will begin September 29th at 6:00 p.m.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: Begins October 6th. This is a fun program from 3:45pm-5pm on Wednesdays for 4year olds (that are attending preschool) through 5th grade students.  Older students are welcome as helpers.  Registration forms will be available on Rally Sunday in the Narthex.
The St. John bus will again be available to pick students up from school to bring them here.
The cost is $10 per student.
