Lux Verbi

Lux Verbi (Latin for "the light of the Word") is a discussion group for adults who seek to grow in faith through meaningful conversation. Lux Verbi is currently studying The Platonic Tradition by Peter Kreeft. The discussion focuses on how classical philosophy helped shape Christian thought and continues to speak to modern questions about meaning and human nature. New participants are always welcome. No prior reading required. Contact St. Mary's Parish Office at: 701-235-4289 with any questions and to ask for the code to enter the Wanzek Center.

PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES

Divine Mercy Prayer Group

Every Friday at 5:15 PM, a group prays the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. All are welcome! In her Diary, St. Faustina records the words of Jesus, who said: "Encourage souls to say the Chaplet which I have given you (1541). ... Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death" (687). The St. Anthony's prayer group would be absolutely thrilled if new people joined them!

Charismatic Prayer Meeting

Every first Saturday of every month, Servant Communities (SC), an international network of Catholic Charismatic communities, hosts a Prayer Meeting at Nativity Catholic Church. The meeting will start at 5:15 PM with praying the Holy Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet. After prayer, people will share their testimonies about God's amazing grace in their lives. All are welcome. First Saturday Parish Rosary

Respect Life Sunday

Bishop Folda invites all the faithful of the diocese to join him in a Mass and a Holy Hour for Life on Respect Life Sunday, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Fargo. The Mass at noon will be followed by a Holy Hour for Life. A lunch will be served in the social hall following the Holy Hour.

40 Days for Life Campaign - Sign-Up to Pray Outside Abortion Clinic

The visible, public centerpiece of 40 Days for Life is a focused, 40-day, non-stop, round-the-clock prayer vigil outside a single Planned Parenthood center or other abortion business in your community.

Oktoberfest - Holy Spirt Catholic Church

Oktoberfest will be held outside the rectory on Saturday, October 3, at 5:30 PM. There will be bratwurst, beer and root beer, kids crafts, music and polka dancing. Please sign up in the North Entrance of the church or at holyspiritfargo.com/rm so that enough food can be prepared.

St. Francis de Sales Fall Festival
