WHAT'S HAPPENING
QUEERING OUR LITURGY,
DANCING WITH THE DIVINE
Wednesday, August 25th 12-1pm (online)

Liturgy, of whatever faith, is an attempt to connect us to the Divine. Over the past few decades liturgies have been created and have evolved to include and embrace members of the LGBTQ2+ communities. Join Rabbi Dara Lithwick and Rabbi Daniel Mikelberg of Temple Israel Ottawa, and the Reverend Gary van der Meer, rector of St John the Evangelist Anglican Church, for a dive into examples of queer liturgy from our traditions.

Together let's inspire and uplift!

ST JOHN'S CHOIR RETURNS!

We have wonderful news to share! St John's Choir is returning this fall. The first rehearsal will take place on Thursday, September 9th at 7:30pm. Do you know someone who might like to join the choir? Now would be the perfect time to do a little scouting around and invite new people. The choir will be taking a few weeks to get back in vocal shape (which will be perfect for new members) and they plan to sing at services beginning the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Please contact our Choirmaster, Dr. Gordon Johnston at 613-232-4500 ext. 11 or by email at gordon@stjohnsottawa.ca.
ONLINE WORSHIP CONTINUES

Over the summer we will continue to hold online worship. We are making plans to return to In-Person Worship on September 12, 2021. We will also endeavour to publish a weekly prayer video on our YouTube Channel for those parishioners who feel they are not ready to move to In-Person Worship. Look for more information to come next week!

Please join us each Sunday beginning on YouTube at 9:30am followed by the second part of our service and fellowship on Zoom. See the links above or visit our YouTube Channel to watch our services online.

Please get vaccinated as soon as you are eligible!
