CHRISTIAN ED TEAM ANNOUNCES A BOOK STUDY!
Wednesdays
November 4th to December 2nd, 7-8.30 pm, via Zoom!
What to do on Wednesday evenings in November? Our interim priest, Pat Johnston, has offered to lead a Book Study for us. Author NT Wright served as the Bishop of Durham, and now teaches New Testament at Oxford. His writing is easily accessible and thought-provoking.
The little book we will read together is called God and the Pandemic, written by Wright earlier this year.
Please indicate your interest by email to the Office office@stjohnsottawa.ca or by phoning. Please register before November 1st.
You'll need the book beforehand and we have just ordered some copies for you to purchase from our local bookshop Perfect Books on Elgin - so watch this space for more info on those details when they become available.

DO YOU HAVE A HEART FOR CREATION?
Join the ADO (Anglican Diocese of Ottawa)
Environmental Group
Caring for creation is one of our baptismal vows and is integral to discipleship. We are now seeing the effects of climate change right here in Ottawa, Eastern Ontario and West Quebec. We are called to work together for the good of creation. We can all do our part. All of our efforts are meaningful whether it's carrying our own straws or changing how we heat our homes.
You are invited to join a new Facebook Group - ADO Environmental Group. The Facebook page can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/adoenvironmental Our hope is that this will be a place for people to meet and have a forum to discuss, learn and share articles, ideas, insights, and many other resources.
For more information see the "About section" on the Facebook Group or email Reverend Susan Lewis at revsusanlewis@gmail.com
