KEEPING ALIVE
KEEP YOUR COOL

These days of self-isolation are bringing out the worst in some people. With very little warning that can go off like a bomb. How do we avoid conflict with people at this time? This article has some tips for us.
LISTEN

Here is a beautiful recording of ‘Irish Blessing’ by Bob Chilcott from a CD entitled ‘Listen’ by the Choir of St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow. Just click on the photo.
ENJOY NATURE

Be closer to nature, right at home! Grow some vegetables, learn about vegan cooking, try your green thumb with houseplants, prepare natural beauty products, and see nature in the city. All found on this link!
READ AND REFLECT

"Shipwrecked! How Social Isolation Can Enrich Our Spiritual Lives" is a fabulous article addressing isolation, despair, facing our demons, and answering the question: What does “Robinson Crusoe,” the most-translated novel, tell us about living with COVID-19?
EAT WELL

If quarantine cooking is definitely not your thing or you just need to take a break from raiding your pasta-and-canned-goods stash once in a while, the team at Apt613 have compiled a partial (growing!) list of local restaurants and food providers who are providing takeout and delivery options during the pandemic. It’s also a great opportunity to support local businesses who are suffering financially during the shutdown.
WATCH SHAKESPEARE

The Stratford Festival Theatre is offering free streaming of 12 Shakespeare performances over a four month period. The productions are a part of the festival’s “Stratford Festival On Film” series and this is the first time they will be available for free. Check out the website!
SEE STAINED GLASS

York Minster is remarkable for both the size and chronological span of its stained glass collection. This new online resource celebrates this peerless collection, providing public access to the high-resolution photography undertaken by the York Glaziers Trust on behalf of the Chapter of York. Enjoy!
ANGLICAN NEWS
TODAY 4 TOMORROW

Our T4T ministries are responding to COVID-19 by doing everything they can to serve the most vulnerable people in our midst. They are taking care of people who would not have enough food to sustain them by serving, preparing and delivering more than 200 food packages per day. Mental health and wellness needs are being met through online counselling and virtual gatherings. Click here to read more.
ANGLICAN FOUNDATION OF CANADA

Read the latest news and updates from the AFC, including a reflection on generosity by Gift Consultant Peter Wall. The AFC gave a grant to St John's for the Open Doors narthex renovation and a couple of our parishioners have served on the AFC Board of Directors.
