CARTER PURCELL

31 Oct 1929 - 26 July 2020

Carter will be remembered by many long time parishioners for her positive attitude despite being a victim of MS, for being instrumental in the creation of Art Credo, and for her work in The Well.

Carter's husband Canon Borden Purcell was a Rector at St John's for many years. After their retirement Carter went on to become an artist in her own right.

May she rest in peace, and rise in glory!

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN SEPTEMBER
From September 14th until such time as a new Incumbent is appointed, The Venerable Pat Johnston will serve as the Interim Priest-in-Charge. Over 35 years ago, Pat started ministry as a Curate at St John's, and she has lots of good memories of her time here. She is looking forward to being with you!

Bishop Shane has announced, that as long as conditions do not worsen, we will move from RED to AMBER on September 1st. This means that in-person worship, with all the required restrictions, will begin again on Sunday, September 20th at St John's. Watch this space for further information!
