To Adrian, Monica and all those who welcomed visitors on Saturday, June 1st to our beautiful sacred space. What a great ministry of presence! Numbers compared to other years were down due to the Elgin Street construction, but over a hundred people still enjoyed their visit and some even stopped in at The Shop!

From now on, once the Sunday morning service has begun, the Somerset Street entrance by the offices and the old ramp from Elgin Street will be locked. Please access the church from either the front door on Elgin or the ramp and bell tower door on Somerset. This will help with security. Thanks so much!

Every Sunday, the prayers of the people are led by the people and we need more people to participate in this ministry! It is a wonderful way to contribute to the service, without having to be "upfront". You do not have to be a creative writing genius, as there are many fine resources for the prayers, as well as training and assistance from the Rector. Please be in touch if you are interested.

There is a wonderful buzz on Sunday mornings in the summer between 9 and 9.30 am, as people gather to enjoy coffee, and again after the service when we serve lemonade!
We need your help! If you could volunteer to cover one or two Sundays over the summer please be in touch with Laura
Laura@stjohnsottawa.ca
Good news, no coffee making skills are required! The coffee will be ready we just need someone to bring the coffee at 8.45 am from the coffee shop a few doors away. Then after the Service the same (or another) volunteer could put out the lemonade, return the coffee gear and tidy-up.
