CoSA Training Info Session
|
Tuesday, March 5th
Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) Ottawa is holding their spring volunteer training soon – and invite St John’s parishioners to attend.
CoSA is a volunteer-based reintegration program that assists individuals who have served a prison sentence for a sexual offence(s) and seek CoSA’s help,
voluntarily
, in their journey to develop a meaningful, crime-free life in the community.
The ‘Core Member ‘ and 3 or 4 volunteers comprise a Circle, meeting as a group and individually on a regular basis to work on goals and address challenges that arise. Volunteers are required to commit to approximately two hours/week for a minimum period of one year. The experience can be very rewarding – being part of the solution in reducing victimization by helping to shape a person’s second chance at a good and responsible life.
