The preliminary total from last week’s walkathon in support of the Centretown Emergency Food Centre is $21,000.
Thanks to walkers from St John’s and supporters of the walk, raising almost $800. And special thanks to Henry Sawatsky who played a key role in the walkathon’s success.

SNAPSHOT!
Our beautiful Good Shepherd window has returned!
Sabbatical Glimpses
Praying the labyrinth on the Isle of Iona was a wonderful experience as it took some time to walk to this remote corner of the Island, through the village, across fields, over fences, and then down to the beach where the waves rushed in. My new friend Becky, an Episcopal priest from Florida, was my companion for the walk, took the photograph, and enjoyed a beer with me in the pub on the way back to Bishop’s House. Iona’s holiness comes through in many ways!
Parking Tips!

You may have noticed that our parking spots on Elgin Street are not accessible these days due to Elgin Street construction but the underground parking lots at City Hall (110 Laurier Ave West) are now free on the weekends and are a pleasant 3 block walk to St John's.
The Indigo Lot next door to St John's on Somerset St is free on Sunday mornings for people worshipping at St John's.
Also, for Parish Volunteers there are two open parking spots on the Somerset Street property available on a first come first served basis. If the odd time you find you must pay for parking whilst volunteering at St John's and you would like to be reimbursed for your parking, simply leave your receipt at the church office and we'll cover that for you. We ♥ our Volunteers!

On November 4th PWRDF Christmas Cards will be on sale at coffee time on Sundays after the 10.15 service. A donation of $20 or more per package is suggested to support the important work of PWRDF.

St John's Bell Tower

Join us as we ring out the bells of peace in Centretown. To mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One, Anglican churches across Canada will ring their bells 100 times.

Have you always wanted to ring the bell at St John's? Many bell ringers will be needed - no experience necessary! We'll have a basket ready so that any bell ringers so moved can make a donation towards The Anglican Military Ordinariate Bishop's Trust Fund to support Military Chaplains serving around the world today.
Plan to gather in the Church at 4.45 pm
