Join us for the Service,
Sunday at St. Luke's and also on
Facebook Live at 9:30 a.m.

St. Luke’s Church is inviting you to a
scheduled Zoom meeting.

Topic: School of the Spirit w/Jan Nel

Please note:
The final week of Jan's teaching will be June 3rd.

Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire, New Beginnings

This Sunday is Pentecost, the birthday of the Church. We will lift our mask mandate this Sunday and we will also ease our way back to some measure of normal. This means we will open up the cafe for coffee and fellowship as you arrive and after church, we will remove any remaining tape marks on the floor. You also will be free from having to wear a mask in church. That being said, we still need to be sensitive to people who choose to still wear a mask, to those still wanting to distance others by 6 ft and to those who would choose to stay home and be with us online.

At communion time we will offer again wafers and wine. This will mean that we will offer the opportunity on one side for people to drink from a common cup, on the other side people will be asked to dip (wafer only, no fingers please!). If the wine concerns you and you want to abstain from receiving you can just receive the wafer alone and bypass the wine. Hopefully this will cover all concerns.

I am very blessed by your patience and care during this confusing time. And I am grateful for the ways everyone has been sensitive to the many and varied approaches to safety during this time. I believe that we have managed our circumstances well and have walked in the presence of God with care for health and with faith to overcome. I know its been a hard time for those who thought we ought never wear a mask as well as those who still feel we should be masked... and many others in between. Thank you all for your honor, obedience and understanding.

I look forward to again having the fellowship we once shared and will again enjoy!

Happy Birthday Church!!

Blessings
Dan
Just Love Cafe will be open once again! Come hungry for

New Office Hours
Beginning this week,
St. Luke's office will be open Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 4:00 and closed Fridays.
Newcomer's Dinner

Friday, June 4th at 6:00 p.m. at Michael and Nancy Koly's home. Anyone new to St. Luke's over the last year is invited to join Father Dan and the Koly's for a time of fellowship and good food! For more information, contact Nancy by clicking here.
Over the past year, people have experienced fear, isolation, sickness, and loss. On Saturday, June 19th from 6-8:00 p.m., there will be a Prayer Open House for the community, outside in the tent. Please consider inviting a neighbor or friend to come for prayer and blessing as we begin to restore and heal from the effects of the COVID pandemic.
You may have noticed a HUGE tent in the back yard! This is available for use for ministries but remember, just as any other room in the church, please contact the office to check the calendar if you want to reserve it to avoid scheduling conflicts.

for each of you each week.

St. Luke's receives 4 cents per pound for the clothing we collect.

We earned $327.65 for 2021 YTD donations.
The Clothing Shed
All the clothes you've been stashing in the corner of your spare room can now be brought to the Clothing Shed at the back of the church parking lot. With many of the thrift stores not accepting donations or having limited hours, it's a great place to donate gently used clothing and you'll be helping those in need, too!

Please tie the clothes into a bag (do not use boxes or put clothing in the shed un-bagged) and put in the slot to keep them safe and dry.
