We are entering the final stage of the lift project saga. After many delays the lift company has finally started work again. Unfortunately the Monaco planning authorities specified a colour for
the lift exterior that no longer exists, so the builder was unable to apply the final top coat. We are pushing the authorities hard for a decision on an alternative colour and are hoping that this can be agreed in the coming days. Then all we will need to do is wait for a few rain-free days in order that the paint can be applied. Thank you for your continued patience. We truly hope that you will be able to use the lift very soon.
For those who may be new to our newsletter, St Paul's signed up, in December 2017, to the
Eco Church scheme which gives bronze, silver and gold awards to churches based on their environmental performance. We are in fact the first church in Europe to make this commitment, the first church in the UK to sign up to the scheme was St Paul's cathedral so we are in very good company. We are pleased to update you with the news that we are, after 6 months of work, already approaching our bronze award. Many thanks to everyone who is contributing towards this goal. We will be continuing articles in upcoming weeks, using our recent competition winning logo, as part of the ongoing process of making positive steps to make a real difference to God's world.
