THIS WEEK AT ..................

St. Pete First UMC

Hi Kelly—

Tomorrow is our second Sunday of Lent and I have a special message on how Jesus crossed the line to meet a woman that everyone had turned their back on. It’s a message reminding us that we are called to connect with those who others have abandoned.

Check out our website and make note of all the special events coming between now and Easter. This is an exciting place to be and I look forward to this journey of faith with you!

Pastor Bob

This week is the second week of our sermon series Crossing the Line. What was it like to walk with Jesus? Many saw miracles, listened to His teaching, experienced a newfound love. They also saw the distance God would be willing to go to free them from their bondage of sin. Journeying with Jesus will help us catch an intimate side to the One as He walked closer to the cross and with you and me; He “crosses the line.”

Pastor Bob's sermon title this week is "Crossing the Line: The Woman at the Well." Many believe the circle of friends with whom they associate is a reflection on their own identity. What happens when you are searching for acceptance and the community circles you find yourself in just aren’t leading you there? Perhaps it’s time to meet Jesus at the well and discover how He can change your life. Jesus crossed the line when He came face to face with a sinful woman at the well.

The text for this week is John 4:4-30 NLT.

We need your help to build a Disaster Recovery Team

St. Pete First is building a team of dedicated individuals to assist with present and future disasters. We are first on the ground and perform duties like mud clearing, removing sheet rock, bedding and other home items to prevent the situation from becoming worse. If you only available part-time, your participation is still needed and appreciated. Training in disaster procedures is available and participation is encouraged.
