News and Events!

Wishing You a Happy, Holy 2025!

Happy New Year's Eve! Thank you so much to everyone who made this 2024 year such a special one. We know this time of year is when people look back and think about some things they might want to do differently in the new year. Maybe you are looking to finish your sacraments, get involved in a small group, do some service as a family, or spend more time in prayer. Whatever you are interested in, we have so many ways to help you become more anchored to Christ. Please see our website for ways to get involved or please feel free to give the office a call, 518-462-1336.

Christmas Masses - Thank YOU!

We had beautiful Masses here last week. It takes a lot of people to make those happen between the cleaning, decorating, lighting, music, ushers, servers, staff and so many more volunteers. Thank you to everyone who helped to create a welcoming and reverent atmosphere for all who were able to attend or watch our livestream. In case you are curious, about 4,000 attended Christmas Masses which is about 160 more than last year!

Epiphany, Sunday, January 5th, 3 Kings Procession, 10am Mass

Next Sunday is the Feast of the Epiphany. At our 10am Mass, we will have a special visit from the 3 Kings. They will process in and have gold chocolate coins for the kids. So, make sure you come out for that!

St Pius X 2025 Calendars

We still have some 2025 calendars if you would like one. Please feel free to drop by our office to grab one.

Adult Confirmation

Our Adult Confirmation Class will begin on January 22nd so if you are an adult that hasn't received the sacrament of Confirmation, please think about joining the group. This sacrament strengthens you and gives you so many graces through the power of the Holy Spirit to help you to be a disciple in our world. If you are interested in learning more about the class, please contact the office 518-462-1336

Sound Person Wanted

Our contemporary ensemble is looking for a person to run sound during our 10 am masses on the first and third Sunday of each month.

The sound person operates the volumes of the instruments from a tablet, and they may sit just about anywhere in the congregation.

No experience necessary. We will train. If you’re interested or available to help, please email Brian Hoffman, our music director, at

music@stpiusxloudonville.org

AV/IT Help Wanted

We are also looking for a part-time IT & AV Specialist to help ensure technology runs smoothly for various church events. This role will involve assisting with the setup and maintenance of equipment, ensuring technology is ready for services and events. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology in a flexible, manageable role. If you're someone who enjoys problem-solving and supporting events behind the scenes, we'd love to have you join our team! If you want more information or are interested, please look on our website or reach out, 518-462-1336. Thank you!

The retreat will be held daily the week of May 19-23rd from 9am to 5pm. Reserve your spot now! Open the short video of Deacon Marty talking about the Icon Retreat.

Winter's Night Out in Hawaii 2025 - March 29th - Save the Date!

Please save the date for our St Pius X School Gala - Winter's Night Out - on Saturday, March 29th at Wolfert's Roost. We are pleased to announce that we'll be honoring Cindy Pettit and The Patrick and Janet Fitzgerald Family for their dedication to St Pius Church and School. We'll be raising funds for The Parish Hall Revitalization Project - replacing the dividing wall to ensure a safe multiple use space and updates to our audio-visual capabilities to ensure quality sound, presentations, and recording and live stream capabilities that will showcase our vibrant community to the public and loved ones near and far. Please visit our website to learn more or become a sponsor. Thank you so much for your incredible support!

Church Hearing Loop

We have been hearing from a lot of people that our hearing loop system works very well -- just by the nods and smiles during homilies. So, if you are having trouble hearing or have a hearing aid, please visit our Information Hub in the Atrium where you can pick up some headphones or information before Mass.

Family & Friends in Nursing Homes

If you or someone you know is in the hospital or a nursing home, please let us know. We often don't know that people have been sick and want to make sure we visit people and pray for them. Don't forget that we have ministers that can bring communion to you if you are homebound or know someone who is. If you would like more information, please contact Linda Green, 518-462-1336, or email pastoralcare@stpiusxloudonville.org

Gabriel Project

Our Gabriel Project ministry supports women in crisis pregnancies. If you know of a woman in a crisis pregnancy that could use friendship, encouragement, prayers or has practical needs, please have them call this toll free number 1-833-227-3273 and a trained Gabriel angel will be on hand to help them.

Need help with small projects?

Our Men's Service Group is ready to get to work! If you know of someone in need, an organization, or if you yourself need help with small projects, let us know! Please contact Peter Myer at myerpeter112@yahoo.com or 518-229-3091. Also, if you would like to join this group, please contact Peter Myer. Thank you!

Do you know someone that would like Communion brought to them?

If you or someone you know, cannot make it to Mass due to recovery from surgery, an illness or can simply no longer attend Mass, please let us know by calling our parish office, 518-462-1336, and we will make arrangements to have communion brought to you. Also, please remember if you have short term needs for meals, our meal ministry is ready to jump in to help you.

Team 1
