Program for Sunday, November 2

Tone V

Eighth Sunday of the Exaltation
Sunday's Bible Reading

Isaiah 22:15-25; Ephesians 1:1-14;
Luke 8:17-21

The Gospel

         "For nothing is hidden that will not be disclosed, nor is anything secret that will not become known and come to light.  Then pay attention to how you listen; for to those who have, more will be given; and from those who do not have, even what they seem to have will be taken away."

         Then his mother and his brothers came to him, but they could not reach him because of the crowd.  And he was told, "Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you."   But he said to them, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it."

Mortgage Elimination Drive - 45 Elton Avenue

The Green House

For many years St. Stephen's Church has carried a mortgage on our 45 Elton Avenue property - The Green House. We had fundraisers, to buy "shingles" and have connected with parishioners via the Jrak and other
communications to kindly contribute to bringing the mortgage down. Thanks to all of your generous contributions, our  mortgage is now down to the final stretch. Only $100,000 remains!! If we can eliminate this debt, then the rental income generated from the property will go directly to the  operating budget of the church and assist with other programs and initiatives the church  would like to support for the betterment of the parish.

Please help us on our last leg of this fundraising effort and contribute as much as you can towards eliminating this debt. If everyone pitches in as a team, we can become debt free on this property and turn it into a source of needed income!

Kindly send all contributions to the church office indicating your commitment to eliminating the Green House mortgage. You may also feel free to call the office to charge your donation by credit card.
