HOMELESSNESS TASK FORCE
ADDRESSES A NEED
Many thanks goes to the Homelessness Task Force who worked to help tackle the increase in camping on church grounds. Recognizing that we do not have the ability to manage the impacts on our building, we are ramping up a clearer "No Camping" policy, installing new stronger outdoor lights, working with the police department's community liaison officers, and providing appropriate resources and information to campers that we ask to leave. Resources include a few clothing items, water, a snack, and a resource list. When we have them, we also offer $30 grocery gift cards. Recipients can receive gift cards once every three months.
If you experience a safety concern or see anyone camping on the property, please call the Denver Police a the non-emergency number: 720-913-2000.

GIVING-2-OTHERS FOR NOVEMBER
Give A Gift For Residents at the
St. Francis Center Apartments
You have the opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone who has been homeless with your gift to the St. Francis Center Apartments at Cathedral Square. They provide 55 residents permanent supportive housing. Funds collected in this month will be used to purchase gift cards for residents so they can buy something for themselves or others during the holiday, an activity they don’t often have the chance to do. Please be generous by giving online, by earmarking a check to St. Barnabas as “Giving-2-Others” for the collection plate, or by mail to the office.
St. Francis Center Is In Need of Donations
Please consider donating. For a list of items needed click here.
The St. Barnabas community also helps provide a monthly community luncheon for residents on the first Wednesday. If you’re interested in helping, please contact Janet Manning jandbmanning@comcast.net
As always, thank you for your generosity!
To make an online donation, click here or send a check to St. Barnabas with Giving-2-Others in the memo line.
