Anglican Prayer Beads for Advent
Sunday, December 1
11:00 in Lukens Wing
Our children and youth have been busy learning how to make and use Episcopal Prayer Beads in their gatherings this fall. The congregation is invited to join them on the First Sunday of Advent, December 1, after the worship service to make your own prayer beads to use during Advent. They, along with their leaders, will lead us in this event! There will be treats and hot beverages to go along with this meaningful Advent activity led by our youth.

Giving-2-Others December
An Organization New to
St. Barnabas
The Denver Black Reparations Council
The Mission of the Denver Black Reparations Council is to rebuild and sustain institutions and traditions that were destroyed, damaged, or prevented from thriving as the result of the enslavement of African and African descendant people and the aftermath of slavery in the U.S. The Council carries out its mission by awarding grants to community organizations that work to build and strengthen the black community. To read more click here.
The Council will receive all Giving-2-Others gifts donated during December. To donate online click here. Or earmark a check to St. Barnabas for “Giving-2-Others” and place it in the offering plate or mail.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Lend a Hand After Coffee Time
Before heading out for the day, please consider helping stack chairs, put away card tables, rinse out coffee pots, and fold tablecloths (taking home any that need washing). As they say, many hands make light work.

Patti Walter Health Update
I recently had my 90-day post CAR-T cell therapy checkup in which my medical team reviewed the various tests to see if the CAR-T cells had successfully attacked the cancer. And, the good news is that all tests showed that I am cancer-free! During this week of Thanksgiving, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all of your prayers and support during my treatment time away this past year. I thank God for my medical team and you for restoring my health. May you be blessed this season with a sense of God's presence in your lives.

A Prayer for St. Barnabas in Transition
From the Book of Common Prayer
O God, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
