Illuminare Concert
Sunday, May 4 at 2:00pm
Trinity United Methodist Church
On May 4th, Mikolaj Bandosz, Karen Esten, Michael Jordan, Stan Siefer, and Nichole Young are representing St. Barnabas in a joint concert titled Illuminare, hosted by Trinity United Methodist Church. Illuminare is a five movement work by Elaine Hagenberg, and it is gorgeous! It’s classic in its structure and in its text, but Hagenberg has set the texts to a lovely, contemporary musical setting. All five of us St. Barnabas singers have really enjoyed learning it, and we would love for you to experience our performance with us. Please come! Click here for more inf and to purchase tickets

May Giving-2-Others
The Gathering Place
The Gathering Place offers a variety of services to women, gender diverse people, and children who are facing homelessness and instability . It was founded in 1986 by two social work graduate students who identified huge unmet needs in Denver. Over the years they have supplied food (both meals and groceries), shelter (recently through the Elati Village Micro Community started in 2024), basic services (showers, laundry, and access to mail, phones, and computers), a clothing bank, and mental health care. All of these services are provided at no cost to those served. For more information click here.
To donate online, click here or earmark a check to St. Barnabas for “Giving-2-Others” and place it in the offering plate, the office, or mail it in.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Stewardship Fun Fact: King Soopers Community Rewards
40 St. B’s households participated in the King Soopers Community Rewards program during the first quarter of this year. Quarterly donations were about 28% lower than usual, due to the 2-week strike by King Soopers workers. This indicates that most St. B’s households participating in the program honored the picket lines and avoided shopping at King Soopers during the strike. Over the last ten quarters, St. B’s has received over $3,000 in donations back from King Soopers from our households’ purchases during that time frame, with our average of over $300 per quarter. If you’re interested in participating in this program, please contact David Ford at 303.521.3564 or DLFord@mac.com.
