Special Music During Holy Week
We have quite a lineup for Holy Week this year! On Palm Sunday, the choir will be performing a lively Palm Sunday tune, accompanied by piano and Lily Sefton on the fiddle. For Maundy Thursday, our choir will perform a beautiful setting of Ubi Caritas, and Mike Erickson is going to send us off with a Psalm 22 chant. For the 12:00 service on Good Friday, Michael Jordan will sing a gorgeous song to conclude the Passion reading. And at the evening Tenebrae service, Tom Potter will be our cantor for the Psalms between our lamentation readings. On Easter, the children are going to be featured in an anthem, and the choir has a powerful anthem to perform as well.

April Giving-2-Others
The St. Francis Center
The St. Francis Center (SFC) is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado, a refuge for homeless adults in the metro Denver area. SFC provides shelter along with a myriad of services that enable people to meet their basic survival needs. These services include a daytime shelter, social services, health and wellness, housing and employment. Their goal is to help guests transition out of homelessness into self-sufficiency. Their most recent housing project is a 60-unit supportive housing complex at 2nd Ave. and Federal that serves older low-income adults, often with disabling conditions. For more information about SFC, click here.
To donate online, click here or earmark a check to St. Barnabas for “Giving-2-Others” and place it in the offering plate or mail.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

April Committee Spotlight:
The Outreach Committee
The Vestry will highlight the work of a different St. Barnabas committee each month. This month it’s the Outreach Committee!
St. Barnabas has always been a parish that values service to those in need and our mission statement includes “committed outreach” as an essential part of who we are. The Outreach Committee oversees our outreach ministries, providing both volunteer and financial support. Members of the committee this year are Janet Manning (Chair), Walter Flor, Brent Sanders, Matt and Suzy Stolwyck, Barb Mattison (Vestry Liaison) and the Rev. Stephanie Kopsch (Clergy support).
One way the committee supports the community is through our Giving-2-Others program, where donations from parishioners are supplemented by a $500 grant from the Outreach budget to a different non-profit organization each month.
We have three ongoing projects that provide more “hands on” volunteer support. We'd love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved in these ongoing projects.
