St. James Kids

@Home edition
Hey St. James Kids Family,

“There are LOTS of ways you can help others know Jesus. It’s not just about talking to friends about God or inviting them to church. It’s about treating others the way Jesus would treat them. You have opportunities every day to do this! So, this week, when you find yourself in a situation where you could choose to respond your own way or to follow Jesus’ way, think about how you can help others know Jesus.”

  • Invite your kids to write the word “CREATION” vertically on the blank page and use the letters to form other words that remind them of what they learned today.
  • Encourage your kids to be creative but to choose meaningful words that form a list of thoughts, a sentence, or even a poem.
  • Anything goes as long as there is a connection with what they know about God
  • For example:
 Take a C loser look
             R omans 1:20
          s E en
Investig A te
        fai T h
        Ev I dence
O bserve
N o excuses
  • Allow kids to to share their work,
  • Close in prayer.

“Dear God, thank You for the amazing world we live in. Everywhere we look there is evidence of Your love and power. When we focus on what we can see in nature and all of Your creation, we realize that we have no excuse for not believing in You. Help us this week to take a closer look at how we can know and follow You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

You are continuously in my prayers.

As things develop, stay tuned to our SM channels, as we look to reinvent how we do ministry in these uncertain times:

We will be closely monitoring developments and will be making additional adjustments as advised or needed. Please be in prayer for our world and church community.

Message me, should you need anything. I'll send more stuff out next Monday!

Bottom Line: You can help others know Jesus.
Memory Verse: God’s grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn’t come from anything you do. It is God’s gift. Ephesians 2:8 (NIrV)
Life App: Faith—Trusting in what you can’t see because of what you can see
Basic Truth: I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

The Parent Cue App cues you to have simple and meaningful faith-moments with your kid that will fit seamlessly into the daily rhythm of your life.
The secret to being the parent you want to be is to pay attention to your daily and weekly rhythm. Chances are, your family has a rhythm that’s entirely your own. Maybe you sing in the morning. Maybe no one speaks before 11am. Every family is unique! Each week, the parent cue app will send “cues” to help you make the most of some of your typical family moments: Like morning time, drive time, meal time, or bedtime. It’s okay if one of these times isn’t a good fit for you. Simply use whatever works in your family routine, and then use it . . . routinely.
We are here for you and with you.

Peace be with you!
